Frida Amundsen is a Norwegian artist and songwriter whose repertoire spans from soft piano singer to pop song artisan. She started out as a young, but deeply talented, singer/songwriter from a small city in Norway, and has developed into a mature act, with several hits, both as an artist and writer. As an artist, she started out with the single “Closer” in 2011, a song that quickly became the most played track on Norwegian radio, and also became a global hit, reaching 9 million streams on Spotify alone. Her debut album “September Blue”, released in 2012, received rave reviews in Norway and was nominated for a Norwegian Grammy (Spellemann). At this point, Frida was still only 19 years old, just finishing the musical studies in college. Her second album, “What You Asked For”, was released in 2015. This album reflected a singer and songwriter in musical, as well as personal, development, and three of the songs on the album was co-written by Joakim Berg (Kent).

Since then, Frida Amundsen has taken her work in a new direction by launching her project CAL, a shift towards a stronger musical footprint a more mature appearance. As CAL, Frida was the topliner on Norwegian Bearson's “Want You (feat. CAL)” which has passed 6,5 streams on Spotify alone. As a songwriter, Frida is gaining a name for herself in Norway and abroad. She wrote on Chinook's hit single “Dancing in Flames” that was released in January, as well as having co-written two of the bigger Norwegian radio hits right now, namely Sandra Lyng`s “Moonrise” and Bearson`s “Want You (feat. Cal)”. “Moonrise” is currently used as the theme song for the Norwegian edition of the TV show Paradise Hotel. Frida has been co-writing with several leading writers, among others; Sterling Fox (Lana Del Ray, Avicii, Tiesto, Adam Lambert), Francci (Fergie, The Great Gatsby), Versatile (Chris Brown, Nelly, Usher) and Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes).
